Presentation Project: The History of Disney Movies
Sooner, I have to do the presentaion that I'm really bad at. I have to present the thing that I'm intrested about. For that, I have the topic that exactly I'm interested about.
Disney Movies are most fantastic wonderful animation movies in the world! I think. I'm really crazy about Disney. Not only movies. Of corse Disneyland. I went to Tokyo Disney Resort twice a months when I lived in Japan. I live in Thailand now, so I 'm really sad about that. Oh, the topic is not about that. Let's shift back to the Disney Movies.
The first talkie animation in the world was Disney. Talkie animation is the animation that teh sounds or voice are included. Before that, animation didn't have any sounds. They put the sounds at the theater by the instrument when the movie was on the screen. To put the sounds or voice, they should have many tecniques to do that. Disney did first. The first tolkie animation in the world was called, "Steamboat Willie" main character is the famoust mouse in the world. Mickey Mouse. This was also the debut film of Mickey. The first talkie animation in the world made the most famous animated character. Isn't that interesting?
And the first color animation in the world is also Disney Animation. Snow White and Seven Drawfs. Everyone knows this animation. This animation was made during the world war II. Every country was shocked, because this movie was like revolution of the animation. This animation took 4 years to complete. Why? Because to they used new things to make the characters really alive. First, they took live action film of Snow White and Seven Drawfs. Then they started to draw the raugh draft for animation from that live action film. Tracing the characters from acter's motion. That can make the characters more real and alive. So, this means they made Snow White twice! That'll take many days to do. But this movie was really fantastic. When I saw it, I was like, "Many many animals are moving like real! Bunch of colors are on the screen!Oh, they're like worms, oh my god, this is so amazing!!! What!? This movie was made during the world war II!? This is handwriting animation!?Oh god, I can't believe it!" Even I was really shocked, so I think the people watched when this movie released, they were shocked more than me. Now, let's stop about to talk this. I want to say it in presentation though.
I'll present about the history of Disney Movies (most is about animation) I'll use Prezi to present it and use some videos to explain why Disney Movies has been hailed in the world. Mostly I'll say things like I said above. The tecniques to take a film, How did the characters organaized, some thing like that. Novel Reading: Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
I read the book named "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" This book is really famous. I know that, but I have never read this story in my life. My every friends said that Jekyll and Hyde is very interesting story, so when I found this book in the box that my teacher gave us to choose one, I grabbed it and decided to read this.
The genre of this book is fantasy and horror. Maybe mystery, too. The setting is in London. The main characters in this book is Dr Jekyll, Mr Hyde and Mr Utterson. Dr Jekyll is a scientist and he's very nice person. He developed the chemical that divides people's good and evil. Mr Hyde is the man that's really ugly and mean. Every body might hate him. He is really close to Dr Jekyll. Mr Utterson is like a facilitator of this story. He's a lawyer. The story goes on by him. The story's perspective is him. That will make us like solving this creepy event.
Gabriel John Utterson the lawyer, was taking a walk, ugly person evoke a very unpleasant feeling named Hyde has trampled the girl impassively. Hyde went away and showed up again with a cash of 10 pounds and 90 pounds of check that famous gentleman Dr. Jekyll signed, and gave them to the girl's family. Dr. Jekyll was his friend and when he got a last will and testament, the heir of property was Mr Hyde. He thought really weird that the very nice person Dr Jekyll heir to very mean and ugly person Mr Hyde and he decided to find Mr Hyde. He searched for 1 year and the murder by Hyde was happened. few days later, Mr Utterson was called by the Dr Jekylls servant, Poole. He said Dr Jekyll was murdered by Hyde and he is in the study room. They broke the study room door and found Hyde's corpse, but they couldn't find Dr Jekyll's corpse. Finally, the truth of this mystery was Dr Jekyll was Mr Hyde. Mr Utterson couldn't believe it that they are same person. They are opposite personality. Dr Jekyll made the chemical that divide's the person's goo and bad. Other scientists said that's a terrible chemical, so he decided to drink by himself to show that this chemical works. Them, he turn in to Mr Hyde. Mr Hyde was a pure evil. Dr Jekyll felt very liberating being pure evil, so he welcomed Mr Hyde. He could turn back to Dr Jekyll when he drink same chemical again, but the time goes by, Dr Jekyll couldn't control Mr Hyde. The bad side of him getting stronger and stronger, even the chemical did not work. Mr Hyde murdered Dr Jekyll, which means commit suicide. That's why only Mr Hyde's corpse were there.
The most interesting passage was
"I felt a violent sickness in my stomach and a terrible pain in all my bones. The room seemed to turn round and round and I trembled with fear. Then the fear and pain disappeared and a strange, sweet feeling took its place. Wild thoughts danced though my mind. They were not good, serious thoughts. They were the wild passions of an evil and cruel stranger. But inside myself I felt younger, lighter, more carefree than ever before. " If this is pure evil,' I thought, ' I like it.'"
This is the scene that first time Dr Jekyll turn into Mr Hyde. This passage describes how pain when he is turning to Hyde and it's very lurid. I can imagine that he is turning to Hyde. This passage was really weird, but very interesting.
I like this story because I'm interested in psychology. I often read psychology books and I'm even thinking that study psychology in University. This story was about dual personality. That means one person has two different personalities. That's really strange, but interesting, isn't it? In psychology, they also call "Jekyll and Hyde" for dual personality. I didn't know why do they say Jekyll and Hyde, so this reading was very good to understand that. Now I'm one of who recommends this book to people. I really understand that why this book is really famous, this story is really fantastic. If you like mystery things, you should read this.

Self Introduction
My name is Rara Fujimaki. I'm born in Japan and I live in Thailand now. I'm staing in Japan during summer break. I finished 8 grade, so I'll move up to 9 grade next year.
I go to International School of Bangkok (ISB) I went to Bangkok on last December, so actually I don't live there very long. But this isn't the first time I went to international school. I was in India for 3 years from kindergarden to 2 grade. I was in American Emmbacy School (AES) for 1 and 2 grade. I think I have standard level of English, but I just started to speak english for 6 months ago and I didn't speak English for long time (about 8 years!) My parents told me I spoken English very well when I was in India, but now on, I don't remember so much. In thailand, I'm in ESL class.
I came to this summer school to engage my self. I want to skill up my English. During June, I went to ASIJ's summer school, too. I have 2 months for summer break, but half of them will disapear for summer school. That's really bad for me. Because I want to play with my Japanese friends. But I want to study more english, so I'll push my self. I hope I have fum in this summer school.
My strong point of English is listening. I can understand what the native speakers are saying even I don't know the words. I was really suprised that my ears are still working if I don't speak for 7 years. When I took the listening test in my school, I got 99% correct. I'm very proud about that. That's my storngest point, but most of the time I don't exactly understand the each of words the people are saying, so I should study more vocabulary.
My weak point is speaking. I'm really bad to do presentation and communicate. I'm not really good at speaking with someone who I met first time. Like this summer school. I couldn't speak it so much. I always try to talk with someone. but I feel very nervous and finally I don't talk. Any short program like this summer school, I always be friends with others almost last few days. When the program ends, I always feel Why didn't I talk to them more early? If I talk to them like the first day the program, I think we could hang out more. I always feel like that. I want to stop that in this summer school. At presentation, my voice will get really really small. Curttenly, I had some presentation in ISB and my voice got nice and clear than I was in Japan. But I think it's still not enough. In this summer school, it seemed to do a presentation. So I think I could speak more strongly and more effectivly. If I could, I'll include some bodylanguages, too.
